Snapchef has partnered with the MassHire Department of Career Services in the COVID-19 Disaster Recovery Dislocated Worker Grant (DWG) Program to address food insecurity and unemployment in Massachusetts. Chefs:

  • Kitchen facility and personnel management
  • Food safety management
  • COVID-19 protocol management
  • Menu development
  • Inventory and purchasing
  • Primary food production

Cooks:

  • Food production station set up and maintenance
  • Ingredient measurement and recipe preparations
  • Raw vegetable, meat, and seafood preparations
  • Menu and preparation knowledge aligned with position skill level
    • Food processing, steaming, grilling, baking, roasting, sautéing, soups, and sauces
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation policies and procedures

Prep Cooks:

  • Raw vegetable, meat, and seafood preparations
  • Salad and sandwich preparation and assembly
  • Equipment use as demonstrated
  • Basic cooking as demonstrated
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Packers:

  • Receive food and non-food deliveries
  • Check quality and accuracy of delivered product
  • Package products and meals as scheduled
  • Maintain packing records
  • Inventory organization, product rotation, reporting
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
  • Be able to lift 20+lbs

Stockers:

  • Receive food and non-food deliveries
  • Check quality and accuracy of delivered product
  • Unload and store merchandise
  • Prepare merchandise for shipment
  • Inventory organization, product rotation, reporting
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
  • Be able to lift 20+lbs

Drivers:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid vehicle registration
  • Perform scheduled meal delivery routes
  • Perform tasks related to meal distribution readiness
