Culinary Staffing Agency has hired over 1,000 employees since opening its Boston HQ in 2015

BOSTON– SnapChef, the area’s premier culinary training and staffing agency, today celebrated two years of business growth since opening its Workforce Development Center and Corporate Headquarters in Dorchester, Massachusetts. As part of the festivities, July 31, 2017 was named “Snapchef Fast Track Culinary Day” in Boston.

Located at 420 Washington Street, the Snapchef Fast Track Culinary Day celebration included remarks given by the City of Boston’s Economic Development Chief, John Barros, and SnapChef CEO and Founder, Todd Snopkowski. The program included an open job fair and interview session for Boston applicants.

SnapChef’s Headquarters serves as the main training facility for all of the company’s ServSafe certified employees. Since opening in Dorchester in 2015, Snapchef has hired over 1,000 people in the roles of culinary professionals. Snapchef plans to continue hiring and training Boston residents to help meet the professional staffing needs of the culinary industry.

“I am proud to recognize Snapchef on two years of promoting equity and expanding employment options in Dorchester and throughout the City of Boston,” said Martin J. Walsh, Mayor of Boston. “Snapchef’s unique approach to culinary training provides talent for Boston’s businesses and institutions, and ensures Bostonians have the skills to purse a fulfilling and successful career path.”

During the anniversary celebration of its headquarters, SnapChef CEO and Founder Todd Snopkowski highlighted the SnapChef Fast Track Curriculum (FTC) as part of the SnapChef Foundation, a vocational training program that allows adults with varying levels of culinary skills to develop new technical abilities while earning an income. The FTC is the result of over 100 years of combined executive chef and culinary educator experience. The FTC addresses the critical gap in culinary industry between minimum wage, no skill jobs, and chefs trained at higher education institutions.

“Locating our company Headquarters in Dorchester has given Snapchef the opportunity to connect with a talented workforce and a vibrant business community”, said Todd Snopkowski, CEO and Founder, Snapchef.
