Recipe of the Week: Snapchef Pizza Party

Serves: 8-12 People

Total Time: 60 Minutes Prep Time: 30 Minutes Cook Time: 30 Minutes

Ingredients:

Pizza Dough:

  • 1 and 1/2 Cups of Warm Water
  • 1 Teaspoon of Sugar
  • 2 Teaspoons of Dry Yeast
  • 4 Cups of All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1/3 Cup of Olive Oil

Pizza Sauce:

  • 10 Roma Tomatoes
  • 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Chopped Onion
  • 4 Cloves of Garlic
  • 1 Teaspoon of Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 Tablespoon of Sugar, Optional
  • 1/4 Teaspoon of Crushed Red Pepper
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste

Toppings:

  • Fresh Mozzarella
  • 1 Bag of Shredded Whole Milk Mozzarella
  • Sliced Pepperoni
  • 4 Cloves of Roasted Garlic, Halved

Ricotta Cheese:

  • 1 Cup of Ricotta Cheese
  • 1 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon of Oregano
  • 1 Teaspoon of Black Pepper
  • One Egg

Lasagna Meat:

  • 1 Pound of Ground Beef
  • 1 Big Yellow Onion
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 Can of Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 Celery Stick
  • 2 Teaspoons of Olive Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon of Oregano
  • 1 Teaspoon of Black Pepper

Method of Preparation:

Pizza Dough:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk the water, sugar, and yeast together. Let it sit for 10 minutes. Yeast is food when it starts to froth up.
  2. In a bowl, add flour, salt, olive oil, and yeast mixture.
  3. Mix everything together until the dough is soft and elastic. When it is done, the dough will come clean from the side of the bowl.
  4. Cut the dough into quarters.
  5. Shape the dough into a ball and place into an oiled bowl, covering the dough in oil.
  6. Cover the dough with a plastic wrap and refrigerate.

Pizza Sauce:

  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the onion and let cook for 4-5 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add the tomatomes and break apart with a spoon.
  5. Add the oregano, basil, sugar, crushed red pepper, salt, and pepper.
  6. Let everything simmer together for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Lasagna Meat:

  1. Dice onion, celery, and carrots.
  2. In a pan with oil, cook the onion, celery, and carrot until tender.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the garlic powder, oregano, black pepper, salt, and the can of diced tomatoes.
  5. Lower the heat, cover and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Let the meat cool before adding to the pizza.

Ricotta Cheese:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, and egg thoroughly.

Assemble Pizza:

  1. Coat the dough in flour.
  2. Stretch the dough and form into a circle.
  3. Assemble desired Pizza
    • Cheese/Pepperoni Pizza
      1. Spread the pizza sauce on the dough
      2. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
      3. Add pepperoni slices if desired.
    • Margarita Pizza
      1. Spread the pizza sauce on the dough.
      2. Place slices of fresh mozzarella on top of the sauce.
      3. Place roasted garlic in between mozzarella slices
    • Lasagna Pizza
      1. Cover the dough in shredded mozzarella cheese.
      2. Place lasagna meat on top of the cheese.
      3. Spoon the ricotta cheese mixture on top.
  4. Place in the oven for and cook for 15-20 minutes at 450 degrees F, rotating the pizzas halfway through.

TO SERVE:

  1. Slice all of the pizzas.
  2. Share with your friends!
