Tell us about yourself:
Well, I came to the City of Boston from the Dominican Republic when I was 9 years old. I have lived here ever since and am proud to call the state of Massachusetts my home!
How did you break into the culinary field?
When I was a kid I use to see my mother cooking in our kitchen all the time. I used to love watching cook and use her recipes to make us some great meals. It was my mother who inspired me to follow my heart and pursue a career in the culinary world.
What is the best thing you have learned on the job?
The best thing that I learned on the job was to refine my cooking skill. I learned this when I was part of the SnapChef “fast Track” Culinary Training. Not only did I get a ServSafe Diploma but I also learn things that gave me ideas once I started working for the company.
What is your favorite thing about work?
I get great satisfaction for what people say about my cooking. When someone comes up to me and tells me how much they love my food, that is my favorite thing about work!
What is your favorite meal to make at home?
My family and I love to make Arroz con Pollo which is a classic dish from the Dominican Republic!
