What experience in your life led to you interested in food and cooking?

Working in a restaurant at a very young age, and being a quick study is what led me to my interest in the culinary field.

Describe the moment when you decided that you wanted to pursue a career in the culinary field.

Learning to cook in the kitchen with both of my grandmothers, is what inspired me to pursue this field and expand my abilities. I haven’t turned back since.

What challenges have you faced – and what obstacles have you had to overcome – to purse your career in the culinary field?

The biggest challenge I have faced so far in pursing my career, would be working in some kitchens and encountering so many different personalities. Each time you must learn to adapt and work with everyone to achieve the goal at hand. Which is also preparing a quality meal!

How have friends and family reacted to your career choice?

My friends and family have absolutely been supportive in every way. They love to see me happy at work. In the kitchen, doing what I love!

What do you like most about working in a professional kitchen?

What I enjoy most about working in many different professional kitchens, would have to be learning new techniques. I get the chance to gain so much experience under so many amazing, talented executive chefs!

What’s your favorite comfort food?

Soup has always been my favorite comfort food. Growing up in the south, there was nothing like grandma’s homemade vegetable soup and corn bread!!

What is your favorite thing about working at Snapchef?

My favorite part about Snapchef would be meeting new people, and going to new places. I get the chance to make a quality meal for corporate America, as well as professional athletes and the general public.

What is your advice to those interested in pursuing a career in the culinary field?

My advice for anyone interested in pursuing a career in the culinary field would have to be to want to work hard and, maintain a good work ethic. As well as working well with others, because team work is so important in any kitchen.
