What experience in your life led to you interested in food and cooking?
My personal passion, even as a child, was cooking. As I got older I became more curious and wanted to learn more, and that’s exactly what I did.
Describe the moment when you decided that you wanted to pursue a career in the culinary field.
For me there was no definitive moment. I always loved to cook. For me, it makes me feel accomplished.
What challenges have you faced – and what obstacles have you had to overcome – to purse your career in the culinary field?
Being a woman in this line of work has sometimes been difficult. I started young and I wasn’t viewed as an established cook for years.
How have friends and family reacted to your career choice?
My friends and family are proud of me for doing what I love, and have done nothing but support me.
What do you like most about working in a professional kitchen?
Working in a fast-paced environment excites me. It’s always a challenge and it never bores me.
What’s your favorite comfort food?
Italian food.
What is your favorite thing about working at Snapchef?
The diversity is the best thing about working for Snapchef. Being able to meet new people and work in all types of environments is for me rewarding.
What is your advice to those interested in pursuing a career in the culinary field?
Learn, watch and listen as much as possible.
