Position Overview

Are you looking for a role that combines creative freedom, leadership, and professional growth? As an Executive Chef at Snapchef, you’ll lead all culinary operations—developing menus, mentoring kitchen teams, and ensuring top-tier food quality, safety, and service.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of commercial kitchen environments for leading organizations in the tri-state area—including colleges and universities, hospitals, country clubs, event venues, corporate cafeterias, senior living communities, and more. Key Responsibilities

Culinary Leadership

  • Create innovative, high-quality menus tailored to client needs and dietary requirements
  • Maintain consistency in food quality, flavor, and presentation across shifts and sites
  • Introduce seasonal offerings that enhance the overall dining experience

Kitchen Operations Management

  • Supervise all back-of-house activities including food prep, cooking, and service timelines
  • Implement kitchen policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and organization
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and operational readiness

Staff Supervision & Development

  • Recruit, train, and manage kitchen staff in alignment with Snapchef standards
  • Conduct coaching sessions, performance reviews, and team development
  • Design labor-efficient schedules that meet coverage requirements

Food Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols
  • Ensure compliance with local health codes and company policies
  • Conduct routine inspections to uphold cleanliness and quality

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Manage food purchasing, inventory, and waste reduction
  • Collaborate with vendors to source quality ingredients at competitive prices
  • Monitor and control food and labor costs to meet budget targets

Collaboration & Client Relations

  • Partner with front-of-house and catering managers to deliver seamless service
  • Attend client meetings to understand expectations and adapt menus accordingly
  • Respond proactively to feedback to ensure client satisfaction

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5–7 years of culinary experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Culinary degree or certification preferred but not required
  • Strong knowledge of culinary trends, global cuisines, and special diets
  • Proven ability to manage kitchen operations, budgeting, and staff performance
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptable and effective in high-volume, fast-paced environments
