What experience in your life led to your interest in food and cooking?
When I was a kid, I use to cook with my grandmother. We would have a lot of fun, so I developed a love for cooking.
Describe the moment when you decided that you wanted to pursue a career in the culinary field.
When I attended Job Corps, I saw how much fun they were having and they had so much passion for the industry similar to the passion my grandmother inspired in me.
What challenges have you faced, and what obstacles have you had to overcome, to pursue your career in the culinary field?
To be honest, there have not been any major obstacles besides attending culinary school away from my family.
How have friends and family reacted to your career choice?
My family is very happy for me because I am working in a field I am passionate about.
What do you like most about working in a professional kitchen?
My favorite part about working in a professional kitchen is when I get to show off all of the skills I have learned. I love to sautee food.
What’s your favorite comfort food?
My favorite comfort food is squash.

My favorite thing about working at Snapchef is the ability to work at different locations.
What is your advice to those interested in pursuing a career in the culinary field?
The best advice I can give anyone is to never get discouraged. The work can be hard, but it can be very rewarding.
What are some of your other hobbies outside of cooking?
Outside of work, I enjoy reading a good book.
