What experience in your life led to you interested in food and cooking?
I was going through some hard times and turned to cooking to help comfort me. A friend saw the food I had been making and suggested for me to go down to SnapChef. Walking into SnapChef to apply was the best decision I have made!
Describe the moment when you decided that you wanted to pursue a career in the culinary field.
I decided cooking was something I wanted to pursue when I realized how happy people are after eating the food I made. The joy I can give people with my cooking, was exactly what I needed.
What challenges have you faced – and what obstacles have you had to overcome – to purse your career in the culinary field?
My only challenge I have really faced so far would be my own fear. SnapChef has helped me grow as a person in and out of the kitchen. I now have the self-confidence I need
How have friends and family reacted to your career choice?
My family and friends are very proud of me and the work I do. They keep asking me to cook for them now!
What do you like most about working in a professional kitchen?
I love getting the experience of working in different locations and learning from so many great chef’s. I have learned so much in the 4 months I have been working with SnapChef.
What’s your favorite comfort food?
My Nana always made us homemade chicken nuggets. That continues to be one of my favorite foods to make, for my family and myself.
What is your favorite thing about working at Snapchef?
My favorite thing about working with SnapChef, is all the new experiences and traveling I get to do with the company. SnapChef has helped me get my life back on track.
What is your advice to those interested in pursuing a career in the culinary field?
My advice for people looking to start or continue their career in culinary would be, go for it! Join SnapChef, why are you waiting! SnapChef has helped me grow and learn so much!
