Snapchef Kicks Off Fall at the Boston Local Food Festival

September is the perfect time to be in Boston, especially for outdoor food festivals.

On Sunday, September 16th, Snapchef – the leading culinary staffing company in New England – joined the Boston Local Food Festival (BLFF) on the Rose Kennedy Greenway for an unforgettable fall event experience. The food festival transformed the City of Boston into the nation’s largest local and sustainable food hub. The BLFF featured farmers, local restaurants, food trucks, specialty food producers, fisher folks, and organizations focusing on healthy food and fitness from New England.

Snapchef shined on the culinary demonstration stage with an exciting presentation of Gloucester Fresh Monkfish tacos that attracted interested foodies from across New England. In the past, Snapchef has been nationally recognized for its training with underutilized seafood for culinary apprenticeships. The cooking demonstration was led by our own Snapchef, Meagan Greene, who serves as Director of Apprentice Standards & Operations.

After the Monkfish taco demonstration, the fun events of the day continued. The Snapchef managers met countless visitors at the Boston Local Food Festival interested in beginning and building their careers in culinary. From pastry chef students to culinary professionals to new chefs in the Boston area, Snapchef managers talked about culinary job openings in its offices located in Dorchester, Worcester, Springfield, and Providence, Rhode Island.

The Boston Local Food Festival brought together the best of culinary in New England. Boston continues to serve as the hub of food entrepreneurship, innovation, and education.
