For the many visitors Shelburne Farms is where you take the family to pick fresh produce and eat in surrounded by the beauty of nature. You can pick your own from 80 varieties of apples, 20 varieties of peaches, Asian pears and take home a few pumpkins. Oh and pet the farm animals!
The current owners, Mr. & Mrs. Ted Painter thought to offer some grilled goodies but before you can say “grilled cheese” there was a line of hungry families. Last year the Painter family reached out to Snapchef to assist with the booming food production. The menu expanded to hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, Italian sausage on an outdoor gas grill. Grilled cheese on an electric griddle. The rest is culinary history!
