What experience in your life led to you interested in food and cooking?

I love working around food and gaining valuable experience from all of the kitchens I have worked in.

Describe the moment when you decided that you wanted to pursue a career in the culinary field.

The first job I ever had was with Burger King when I was 18. While I enjoyed my self and had fun, it was not challenging enough. That is when I decided I wanted to gain more experience and pursued a career in the culinary field.

What challenges have you faced – and what obstacles have you had to overcome – to pursue your career in the culinary field?

My biggest challenge was making the transition from having too much fun as a young adult to taking responsibility for myself and working in a fast-paced and demanding environment. 

How have friends and family reacted to your career choice?

They are all very proud of me. They are happy that I can work in a field that I enjoy. 

What do you like most about working in a professional kitchen?

I like being able to work hands-on, learning more and more every day. I’m constantly trying to challenge and improve myself.

What’s your favorite comfort food?

My go-to comfort food is fried chicken wings with roasted potatoes and carrots. 

What is your favorite thing about working at Snapchef?

I like my bosses. They treat me fairly and with respect. 

What is your advice to those interested in pursuing a career in the culinary field?

Bring your A game everyday. Challenge yourself and always try to do better.
