Staffing Industry Leader To Connect with Potential Hires From Across New England
Today, Snapchef, the leading culinary workforce development and staffing agency in Massachusetts, announced its third consecutive year participating in the 2017 New England Food Show. The New England Food Show is the largest regional trade event showcasing the food service industry. Snapchef will use this platform to meet the ongoing demands of the culinary industry by connecting with individuals who’re seeking a new career in the food service industry.
Snapchef is committed to combating the industry’s shrinking labor pool by providing culinary job opportunities to individuals throughout New England. According to the National Restaurant Association, 18 percent of restaurant operators said ‘recruiting and retaining employees’ is the number-one challenge currently facing their business. By providing earn and learn training, Snapchef teaches its employees the necessary skills to succeed in the culinary industry. Today, Snapchef has five locations (two in Boston and one each in Holden, MA, Rhode Island and Worcester), 450 customers, and places 200 workers per day.
Snapchef has continued its dedication to bolstering culinary workforce development by traveling to job fairs across New England and recruiting individuals to join their team. In 2016, Snapchef employed more than 1,200 people. Through their unique culinary training approach, Snapchef prepares individuals for long-term success in the culinary field. Their Fast Track Curriculum (FTC) allows adults with varying skill levels to develop new technical abilities while earning an income. Last October, Snapchef announced plans for a Fast Track Culinary Truck to provide mobile kitchen training and create opportunities for residents in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
“Throughout 2016, Snapchef has produced tangible solutions for the food industry’s gap in qualified employees and we are excited to begin the New Year connecting with individuals interested in the culinary workforce at the New England Food Show, “ said Todd Snopkowski, CEO and Founder of Snapchef. “The New England Food Show brings together the best of the region’s foodservice industry and Snapchef is proud to be a part of the event.”
Snapchef will once again sponsor the NEFS Center Stage, where individuals can watch top regional chefs in competitions and learn about the latest trends impacting businesses. The NEFS Center Stage provides Snapchef the platform to promote the importance of culinary training to the food and hospitality industry. Snapchef is planning on making significant announcement regarding future Snapchef services.
This will be the third year Snapchef is participating in the New England Food Show (NEFS). In 2016, Snapchef CEO Todd Snopkowski presented at the Best Practices for Better Training education session where he demonstrated effective ways to keep customers safe through safe food handling and proper training.
The New England Food Show promotes the region’s best food and beverage products, culinary equipment, and services through demonstrations, exhibits, and keynote speakers. The three-day 2017 NEFS is sponsored by the Massachusetts Restaurant Association and held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center from February 26th – February 28th.
