What experience in your life led to your interest in food and cooking?
The experience in life that led me into the food and cooking industry was being taught how to cook from my mom at 8 years old. I have loved cooking ever since.
Describe the moment when you decided that you wanted to pursue a career in the culinary field.
The defining moment that I decided to pursue a career in the culinary field was when I kept getting compliments on my cooking and dish washing skills.
What challenges have you faced, and what obstacles have you had to overcome, to pursue your career in the culinary field?
The biggest challenge I have faced to pursue my career has been overcoming my mental illnesses as well as being evicted from my childhood home last October. I faced those challenges head on to overcome them as I pursued my career in the culinary field.
How have friends and family reacted to your career choice?
My friends and have have been supportive and happy about my decision to work in the culinary field.
What do you like most about working in a professional kitchen?
I like working in professional kitchens where everything is organized neatly and where everyone is friendly to one another.
What’s your favorite comfort food?
My favorite comfort food is yakisoba noodles, they are delicious.
What is your favorite thing about working at Snapchef?
My favorite thing about working at Snapchef is being taught new ways to accomplish different tasks in the kitchen.
What is your advice to those interested in pursuing a career in the culinary field?
My advice to anyone interested in pursing a career in the culinary field is to go with your intuition and be prepared for your new life journey.
What are some of your other hobbies outside of cooking?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife Kayla, family and friends, watching Netflix, and meditating and working out.
