Snapchef Stakes Claim In Downtown Worcester

Snapchef Opens New Office in Downtown Worcester

Culinary Staffing Agency Plans to Hire 50 Culinary Professionals Immediately

WORCESTER – January, 13, 2015— Snapchef, a leading Boston-based culinary training workforce development and staffing agency, today announced the opening of its new office in Downtown Worcester. The new office located at 20 Franklin Street will serve as the company’s Central Massachusetts headquarters and plans to hire 50 culinary professionals immediately.

Snapchef expects to leverage this new location to spur hiring plans in the region. The growing business selected the downtown Worcester location for its proximity to the region’s workforce and access to public transportation. Snapchef worked in collaboration with Worcester economic development officials from the Worcester Business Development Corporation and the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce to find the best location.

“We are thrilled that Chamber member Todd Snopkowski and Snapchef chose a downtown Worcester location for their expansion into the region,” stated Timothy P. Murray, president and CEO of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce. “Worcester’s key assets – our central location, large workforce, access to public transportation, and many other advantages – will help them to grow their business and serve their clients. We are pleased to support this growing company and welcome them as another important part of the revitalization of Worcester’s downtown.”

“The WBDC developed the 20 Franklin Street facility with the vision of it becoming a hub for learning and entrepreneurship,” said Craig L. Blais, president and CEO of the WBDC. “We are so pleased to welcome Snapchef to 20 Franklin Street and to the city. Their approach to workforce recruitment and development is the type of innovation that will undoubtedly continue to drive the spirit of entrepreneurship within our city.”

“Downtown Worcester provides Snapchef with a very desirable location that will help our company increase its ability to attract talent and serve clientele. Snapchef was convinced by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development that the workforce we needed to serve clients existed in Central Massachusetts. We appreciate the support that Snapchef has received during this expansion from the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Worcester Business Development Corporation,” said Snapchef CEO, Todd Snopkowski.

Snapchef trains culinary staff for temporary and permanent job placement throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island by ensuring each staff member has the proper skill set to assist any culinary environment. Snapchef employees are trained through ServSafe certified food preparation and handling along with work place safety training in order to serve a wide range of clients.

Snapchef employees are trained through our Snapchef Fast Track Curriculum (FTC) and placed into work based learning with major universities, hospitals and five-star restaurants. Last year alone, Snapchef was responsible for providing over 700 people with jobs in Massachusetts’ culinary industry, a feat that earned their CEO, Todd Snopkowski, the SBA Award for Massachusetts Small Business Person of the Year. Snapchef recently opened its new headquarters in Dorchester, where they announced their new Snapchef Fast-Track Curriculum and their plan to hire 50 new employees immediately.

In addition to the jobs created, Snapchef was also selected to receive this prestigious award because of what truly differentiates them from other staffing agencies, culinary workforce development, employee recognition, commitment to community, and partnerships with clients. These 4 core pillars were made possible through the leadership and vision of Daniela and Todd and execution by the management team.
