Snapchef Announces Plans for “First of its Kind” Mobile Culinary Training Truck

Fast Track Culinary Truck will connect Massachusetts and Rhode Island residents to job skills

 BOSTON – October 4, 2016- Snapchef the largest culinary training and staffing company in New England, announced plans for a culinary training food truck. The “Fast Track Culinary Truck” that will serve Massachusetts and Rhode Island to bolster workforce development in the culinary sector.

The Fast Track Culinary Truck will visit communities across Massachusetts and Rhode Island and seek to work in partnership with clients and workforce development organizations. Through this new vehicle, Snapchef will be able to expand its hiring and training reach to multiple cities.  This “First of its Kind” Fast Track Culinary Truck will provide ServSafe food handler training in a mobile kitchen training space. This mobile training unit will provide employment opportunities and job skills for Massachusetts and Rhode Island residents while helping to address the lack of a trained culinary workforce in the region. The food industry’s gap in qualified employees affects hotels, corporate cafeterias, sports venues, and restaurants.

“Our goal at Snapchef is to provide, earn, and learn of opportunities to professionals of all backgrounds. Snapchef is constantly innovating to meet the needs of the culinary staffing industry. The Fast Track Culinary Truck is the first of its kind and will be dedicated entirely to workforce development. In the last year, Snapchef has increased its job training programs as the company continues to hire professionals in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In response to industry demand, Snapchef developed the Fast Track Culinary program that serves to provide paid employment while building important skills for each Snapchef trainee/employee. The Fast Track Culinary program was designed in collaboration with globally renowned culinary training expert Chef Karl Guggenmos.

The Fast Track Culinary Truck is the latest in a series of announcements by Snapchef in 2016. Earlier in the year, Snapchef opened a central Massachusetts location/headquarters in Worcester. Most recently, Snapchef joined with Boston Public Schools in a public-private partnership to support culinary innovation at Madison Park Vocational School.
