Boston-based culinary staffing agency continues aggressive growth to support market demand

(BOSTON)– March 14, 2016, Today at the New England Food Show Snapchef announced that it has hired its 1000th employee. Snapchef, a Boston-based culinary staffing agency, is the only staffing agency in the nation dedicated to trained kitchen employees. The move marks the rapid expansion of the company with locations in Boston, Worcester, MA and Providence, RI.

Following decades of industry experience, Snapchef CEO Todd Snopkowski created the Fast Track Curriculum (FTC) a vocational training program to allow adults with varying levels of culinary skills to develop new technical abilities while earning an income. The FTC addresses the critical gap in the culinary industry between minimum wage jobs and chefs trained at institutions of higher education. Snapchef has training facilities in Boston and Worcester.

“We saw a great need for a skilled workforce in the culinary industry. Large organizations like hospitals and universities need the ability to staff quickly. Currently, their options are limited to day labor and leave a large kitchen with staff who may not have culinary skills. Snapchef fills that gap with quality, skilled employees. We would also like to thank Massachusetts Governor Baker and Boston Mayor Marty Walsh for their support of Snapchef and workforce development programs,” said CEO Todd Snopkowski   To date, Snapchef has filled the 1,000 jobs through recruitment, job fairs and strong collaboration with career centers. It plans to strengthen its New England presence with greater outreach in Boston, Worcester, North Shore and Rhode Island.
